 As we say goodbye to yesteryear and hello to a new dawn, let us take some time to reflect on ourselves. taking inventory of ourselves and examining our thoughts, motives, behaviors etc.  The Bible has much to say about examining ourselves. below are a few verses i selected from many: 1. 2 Timothy 2:15 ESV  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2. 2 Corinthians 13:5 ESV  Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 3. James 1:22 ESV  But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 4. 2 Timothy 4:3 ESV For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 5. 1 John 1:9 ESV  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just t

  They say a picture is worth a thousand words. we're taking more serious turn for today. the subject is on child abuse.  as the statistics show the number truly is too high for this horrible crime against a living soul goin on. we are Gods beloved children and He not only hates sin but the effects this horrible sin has on His loved ones.  we can find comfort and healing in our Savior however, for He himself suffered abuse of many forms. He is able to empathize with our pain and to take what is broke and make it brand new. He restores what we coulda , woulda, and shoulda been before the abuse ever took place.  We may not understand the purpose of allowin abuse to happen, but He has indeed promised us beauty for ashes and a crown upon our heads and to uphold us by His righteous right  hand. we are set on High WITH Him. Amen.

As we say goodbye to yesteryear and welcome in the new year, let us remember always to give thanks to our Lord for the wonderful gift of salvation. May we pray for lost loved ones to be found of God and for all the world to be brought into His sheepfold.  Let this new year be a year of the gospel and leaving behind spiritual laziness and complacency. Let us indeed run the race and be counted worthy, if only and truly only by the blood. Run with endurance and never give up. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

I wonder...when I step through those gates How will heaven be? How will I be?  Will I look around in wonder?  Will I faint from it all? Will I lose myself and forget everything other than to kneel? Will I be able to speak? Form a thought?  Will all the pain truly be gone?  These are a few questions I ask myself when I think of heaven. And it got me thinking....do we believe the promises of God? That every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord? That He shall wipe away every tear from our eyes.  That truly He has indeed given us eternal salvation?  Of a paradise not only restored but made a new?  What doubts do YOU still carry? I invite you to take them to our Lord. Lay them at His feet. And let the prince of peace wash over you.
